The Opportunity

At Hitachi Energy, Integrity is an independent and objective organization that forms an integral part of the Legal & Integrity Function. We are expanding our team to strengthen our focus on workplace-related investigations. The team is responsible for receiving and managing allegations involving employee misconduct and violations of the Code of Conduct, overseeing the full investigation lifecycle, and supporting appropriate disciplinary and remediation actions.

As a Senior Investigator - Workplace Related Matters, you will play a critical role in conducting complex, multi-jurisdictional workplace investigations that may impact employees, business operations, and the company's reputation. Working closely with Legal, Integrity, HR, and other stakeholders, you will lead investigations from intake through closure while fostering a culture of integrity and accountability across the organization.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Conduct workplace-related investigations under the direction of the Head of OSI - Labor/Workplace Related Matters, independently or in collaboration with other Special Investigations Officers, Legal & Integrity, and HR teams.
  • Manage end-to-end investigative processes, including allegation assessment, evidence gathering, data collection, forensic analysis, witness interviews, documentation, and case closure.
  • Interview whistleblowers, witnesses, impacted employees, and subjects in a professional, objective, and confidential manner.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and comprehensive investigation reports and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Engage and communicate with disciplinary committees at various levels across the organization.
  • Support investigations across regional and, when required, global locations.
  • Deliver training and capability-building sessions for Legal & Integrity and HR teams to strengthen workplace investigation skills.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to HR teams on workplace-related matters.
  • Identify lessons learned from investigations and contribute to the enhancement of internal controls and risk mitigation measures.
  • Support the continued development and maturity of the Integrity investigation function.
  • Travel up to 10% as required to support investigation activities.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, Audit, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience conducting corporate or workplace investigations.
  • Strong understanding of workplace misconduct investigations, employee relations matters, and fact-finding methodologies.
  • Experience managing investigations from intake through reporting and resolution.
  • Preferred professional background in Law, Human Resources, Compliance, Integrity, Ethics, Audit, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with eDiscovery and investigation tools such as Relativity, ZyLAB, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical, interviewing, documentation, and report-writing capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple investigations and deliver results within established deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, independent judgment, attention to detail, resilience, and professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across cultures and geographies while maintaining objectivity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to build trust and collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the organization.
  • Based in Bangalore, India.
