Summary:
The Senior Product Specialist supports the ongoing development, enhancement, and delivery of Digitech's ePCR and Fire software solutions. This role serves as a key operational partner to Product Management, Development, QA, and Support teams by maintaining product documentation, coordinating release readiness activities, tracking deliverables, and ensuring customer-facing communications remain accurate and current.
The Senior Product Specialist is responsible for translating complex product functionality into clear documentation, release notes, training materials, and educational content. The role helps maintain alignment across teams throughout the software development lifecycle while supporting product adoption through knowledge management, customer documentation, and training resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update product requirements, feature documentation, and functional specifications
- Attend product planning, development, and cross-functional meetings while documenting key decisions, action items, and requirements changes
- Create and maintain customer-facing product documentation, user guides, and knowledge base content
- Draft, edit, and publish release notes for software enhancements and product updates
- Develop, script, record, and maintain software training videos and learning materials
- Manage and organize customer training libraries and educational resources
- Track product release milestones, deliverables, and dependencies across Product, Development, QA, and Support teams
- Assist with release readiness planning and cross-functional coordination
- Monitor documentation updates associated with new releases and product enhancements
- Coordinate internal and external release communications
- Partner with Product Owners to maintain current and accurate product requirements documentation
- Support testing efforts by validating documented functionality and acceptance criteria
- Ensure consistency and quality across all customer-facing product communications
- Identify process improvements to improve product documentation, release management, and training effectiveness
- Assist with special projects supporting product management and customer enablement initiatives
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
Skills/Experience Required:
- Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in product operations, product support, technical writing, software documentation, training development, or related field
- Exceptional written communication and organizational skills
- Experience creating technical documentation and customer-facing materials
- Strong project coordination and follow-through skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced software environment
- Experience with documentation management platforms and collaboration tools
- Experience with video creation, screen recording, and editing software such as Camtasia, Loom, or similar preferred
- Experience supporting SaaS or software product organizations preferred
- Experience using or administering ePCR or Fire software solutions preferred
- Minimal travel required
