The Trust & Safety (TnS) team drives global impact by safeguarding trust and safety across TikTok's platform and unlocking new possibilities. Responsibilities
- Define and lead the design direction for new initiatives and major product redesigns, crafting intuitive and user-centric experiences that resonate globally.
- Translate complex systems and requirements into clear, elegant solutions, while driving innovation across products, partnerships, and long-term strategies.
0 Collaborate closely with researchers, designers, and cross-functional partners to deliver inclusive, cohesive, and high-quality experiences across the platform.
- Provide strategic guidance and creative leadership to cross-functional teams, navigate design challenges, and effectively communicate design rationale to align stakeholders.
- Champion innovation and community impact by empowering teams and fostering a design culture that reflects TikTok's global reach and values

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Exceptional visual and interaction design skills, with a strong foundation in design craft.
- Proven experience designing for multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, desktop, and mobile web.
- Experience launching new products from the ground up or leading major redesigns of existing products, services, or systems.
- Systems-level thinking with the ability to create scalable and thoughtful design solutions beyond individual screens.
- Strong ability to distill complex information into user-friendly, accessible, and engaging experiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in product design, demonstrating deep expertise in visual and interaction design.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, with a proactive mindset and a strong bias toward action.
- Experience working with diverse, cross-functional teams including research, content strategy, and engineering to drive impactful outcomes.
- Strong communication and storytelling abilities, with a talent for influencing and aligning stakeholders through clear, compelling narratives.

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $115000 - $229500 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others.
