We are looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to join our partner’s team and support the development and operation of a modern GCP-based data platform. You’ll work closely with DevOps, application, and data engineering teams to build scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-efficient infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain highly available and cost-efficient cloud data infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes.
  • Work extensively with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud SQL.
  • Develop and maintain Terraform configurations for GCP data services, networking, and deployments.
  • Manage networking and deployment configurations for GCP data platform components.
  • Design and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines for data services, focusing on quality, security, and efficiency.
  • Establish monitoring and observability across data pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot complex data infrastructure and production issues and proactively identify potential risks.
  • Implement cloud security best practices, including vulnerability scanning and threat modeling.
  • Collaborate with application and data engineering teams to establish and improve operational standards.
  • Support ongoing GCP migration initiatives by designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineering role with significant hands-on GCP experience.
  • Strong commercial experience building and operating data infrastructure on GCP.
  • Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud SQL.
  • Advanced experience with Terraform, including infrastructure for GCP data services, networking, and deployments.
  • Strong understanding of GCP networking, including VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, and private connectivity.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale GCP solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design robust and reliable technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • English: B2+ / Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Technical Skills

  • Cloud: GCP, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage
  • IaC: Terraform, preferably with experience developing reusable modules
  • Kubernetes: Kubernetes / GKE, Docker
  • CI/CD: Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
