Project Overview:

Bechtel's Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing, building and commissioning a semiconductor fab in Clay, NY. M&T is an exciting and growing business unit that serves customers in the semiconductor, datacenter, life sciences, and electric vehicle markets. Job Summary:

The Reporting Lead provides leadership and technical direction for project and business reporting activities, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful performance information that supports effective decision-making and successful project execution.

Working closely with Project Controls, Project Management, functional teams, and client stakeholders, the Reporting Lead develops and delivers reporting, dashboards, performance analytics, and executive presentations. The role serves as a reporting subject matter expert, promotes adherence to Bechtel work processes and standards, and provides leadership, mentorship, and supervision for reporting personnel. #LI-SM2

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, analysis, and delivery of project, client, and executive-level reports, dashboards, presentations, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze cost, schedule, progress, forecasting, risk, and change management data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance issues.
  • Integrate data from multiple project systems using Power BI, Power Query, Databricks, Primavera P6, Synchro 4D, and other reporting tools to develop automated reporting solutions and actionable business insights.
  • Collaborate with Project Controls, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Startup, and other project functions to validate and communicate project performance information.
  • Ensure reporting data is accurate, consistent, timely, and aligned with project, client, and Bechtel requirements.
  • Interface with project leadership and client stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and support high-quality deliverables.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of reporting standards, templates, processes, best practices, and data quality across the reporting function.
  • Mentor reporting personnel and supervise the work of one or more reporting specialists or analysts.


Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in project reporting, analytics, business intelligence, or Project Controls reporting on complex EPC/EPCM projects.
  • Strong understanding of Bechtel Project Controls work processes, systems, reporting requirements, and management review practices.
  • Experience supporting projects with demanding client reporting requirements and delivering timely, accurate, and actionable performance information.
  • Strong understanding of Project Controls disciplines, including cost, schedule, progress, forecasting, risk, change management, and performance reporting.
  • Experience developing executive and client-facing reports, dashboards, performance analytics, and business insights using data from multiple project systems.
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Power Query, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Primavera P6, Synchro 4D, Databricks, enterprise reporting databases, and integrated Project Controls systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, with demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, or supervising reporting personnel and coordinating team deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Semiconductor, Data Center, Battery, Pharmaceutical, or other Manufacturing & Technology projects.
  • Experience delivering reporting to executive leadership and senior client stakeholders.
  • Experience developing automated reporting solutions, digital dashboards, and reporting process improvements.
  • Experience supervising small reporting teams.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Synchro 4D
