The Power Quality (PQ) division at Eaton Electrical provides power management solutions including uninterruptable power supplies (UPS's), surge protective devices, power distribution units (PDU's), remote monitoring, software, power factor correction, airflow management, rack enclosures and services. We strive for continued success in leveraging technical innovation to develop next-generation solutions.
We are looking for a product manager to develop growth strategies and margin improvements for our 3 phase UPS product and solution offering. The successful candidate will manage positioning, product vitality, roadmaps, promotions and quarterly marketing, while partnering with engineering, sales, consultants and customers to meet revenue and margin objectives.
Key Duties:
- Develop strategies to enter new markets and to grow market share in existing markets.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns and promotions for the product portfolio.
- Plan and execute the new product introduction and product life cycle management activities (including End of Life product phase in/ out).
- Develop and promote solution offering across data centres, health, education, mining and industry.
- Work with Sales, Supply Chain management and overseas factories to assist in monthly product and stock forecasting activities as well as product line performance reporting.
- Build close relationships with APAC & Global internal stakeholders (product line managers, buying team, R&D teams) be up to date with the market trends and new technologies.
- Control the inventory to ensure there is satisfactory stock level for the sales demand whilst keeping stock turns to plan.
- Produce and maintains price lists, pricing tools and product marketing material.
- Review and adjust the product positioning and pricing as required, so that the business remains competitive and profitable.
- Train the sales team, sales support team and new employees to effectively select and offer the correct products for various applications and promote key elements of the value proposition to maximise product growth and profit.
- Provide technical support to the sales teams, support, bid team and customers.
- Advise sales staff and customers on product selection and application.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in product marketing, product management, or commercial portfolio roles, ideally within electrical or mechanical systems and B2B markets
- Demonstrated experience owning product or portfolio strategy, beyond marketing execution.
- Demonstrating knowledge in pricing, market positioning, packaging, and understanding of the product's market ability to deliver business results.
- Strong understanding of marketing in project driven B2B environment
- Ability to engage credibly with cross functional teams on internal and external stakeholders at both commercial and strategic levels.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, Science, Marketing, or related discipline. MBA desirable
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
