Position: Payments Software Engineer

Reporting to: Head of Department

Work Arrangement: Remote | Standard Office Hours | Monday-Friday

About the Role:

We are looking for a Payments Software Engineer to integrate Payment Service Providers (PSPs) into our payment portal. You will own the technical work of connecting new deposit and withdrawal methods, maintaining existing PSP integrations, and ensuring reliable, secure money movement across the platform. You will report to the CPO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate new PSPs (cards, bank transfer, crypto, local methods) into the payment portal
  • Build and maintain deposit and withdrawal flows end to end
  • Design and consume PSP APIs, webhooks, and callback handlers
  • Implement transaction routing, status tracking, and reconciliation logic
  • Handle payment states, retries, and failure/edge-case handling reliably
  • Ensure secure handling of payment data and compliance (PCI DSS)
  • Maintain and monitor existing PSP connections; resolve integration issues
  • Coordinate with PSPs and internal teams during onboarding and testing
  • Build reporting and logging for payment operations and troubleshooting
  • Support anti-fraud, AML, and KYC checks within payment flows

Requirements:

  • Strong backend engineering experience (API and integration heavy)
  • Proven experience integrating PSPs or payment gateways
  • Solid understanding of payment flows, webhooks, and transaction lifecycles
  • Knowledge of PCI DSS and secure handling of financial data
  • Experience with reconciliation, idempotency, and error-handling patterns
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or forex/CFD brokerage preferred
  • Strong attention to reliability, security, and detail
