Must-have experience (Required qualifications): Demonstrable, in-depth practical experience with n8n (ideally in self-hosted and enterprise setups) Solid understanding of workflow automation, triggers, webhooks, queues, global error handling (sub-workflows for error routing), and retry mechanisms Confident handling of REST APIs and common authentication methods (OAuth2, API keys, bearer tokens) Experience in the meaningful integration of AI models (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or similar) into real-world business processes (far beyond mere prompt engineering) Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript for custom functions within n8n, as well as solid experience with JSON, data mapping, data validation, and transformations Strong awareness of data protection, access controls, and the secure, near-production processing of business-critical or sensitive data Experience with Git, CI/CD, and clean code Deployment processes of automations
