We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Lien Negotiator to support the review, management, and resolution of medical liens and related documentation for personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience handling legal or medical documentation, and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist lien negotiators with the review, organization, and analysis of medical bills, insurance statements, and lien documents
Request, track, and follow up on lien information, itemized statements, and account balances
Review, analyze, and account for medical bills and subrogation liens for distribution sheets
Maintain accurate and updated lien logs, case notes, and documentation within the firm’s case management system
Manage correspondence from subrogation providers and notify lien negotiators of communications requiring action
Collaborate with case managers, paralegals, and attorneys to ensure smooth case closure and timely disbursement
Handle data entry and document management with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Uphold confidentiality and comply with all legal, ethical, and firm-specific standards
Prioritize and manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
Requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience in Personal Injury
Knowledge of medical terminology and legal documentation
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
High attention to detail and accuracy in document handling and data entry
Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro
Ability to review and analyze medical bills and subrogation liens
Reliable time management and problem-solving abilities
