Legal Counsel

Our client is one of the leading company VC firms. With a stellar portfolio investing in blockchain startups and projects.

Responsibilities

• Advise on a wide range of legal and commercial matters in Blockchain technology, Investment, and Compliance.
• Collaborate with external counsel and other attorneys worldwide, including in mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, the EU, and the US, to provide compliance and regulatory analysis and advice for international business initiatives.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex investment agreements, professional services agreements, and other general commercial agreements.
• Identify potential legal issues and pitfalls and devise creative solutions for business teams to mitigate compliance risks efficiently.
• Develop and continuously identify areas of improvement in our internal policies, case and knowledge management, training, and processes to ensure operational efficiency and implement practices for alignment with international regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• You have three or more years of experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department, in Internet Technology, Blockchain, Software development, or similar areas.
• You have strong academic credentials and are a member of a relevant Bar, or you possess other recognized professional qualifications or equivalent membership. A degree in Computer science or a similar subject is additionally preferred.
• You have sound business judgment and can deliver practical, commercially friendly, and comprehensive advice.
• You are passionate about Internet Technology, Blockchain, and Investment and possess broad experience in blockchain/web3 projects and compliance processes.
• You have excellent communication skills and can establish strong working relationships with business stakeholders.
• You can prioritize in a fast-moving environment and can work independently to manage day-to-day compliance work and handle the end-to-end transaction process from initial contract review through to negotiations and execution.
• You have a good command of Mandarin Chinese and English (both written and oral) as a working language.
