Lead Data DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a remote Lead Data DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in defining and implementing the project's architecture. You will work closely with customers, peers, and vendors to resolve complex issues, develop strategic solutions, and maintain technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Data DevOps solutions
• Design, deploy, and manage data infrastructure in the cloud, primarily using almost one of the clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Lead and support the team of engineers
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure and applications
• Automate and streamline data-related processes, ensuring scalability and reliability
• Ensure the security, availability, and performance of data platforms
• Install, configure, and maintain data tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, ELK Stack, Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow, or similar tools in both on-premises and cloud environments
• Monitor and troubleshoot data systems, proactively identifying and resolving performance, scalability, and reliability issues

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• 1+ year of experience of leading and managing complex engineering projects
• Experience in designing and implementing Data DevOps solutions
• Proficiency in cloud platforms: Azure, GCP, or AWS
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure as code
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency with scripting languages and automation tools like Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Infrastructure as Code experience: Ansible, Terraform, Cloudformation, and so on
• Solid understanding of network protocols and mechanisms, such as TCP, UDP, ICMP, DHCP, DNS, and NAT
• Experience installing and configuring data tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, ELK Stack, Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow, or similar tools
• Proficiency with SQL
• Good knowledge of the Linux operating system
• B2+ English level
• Familiarity with database technologies and data management best practices
