We are looking for an experienced Lead Accessibility Specialist to join our global team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the review of ongoing product designs to ensure accessibility compliance with global standards
  • Provide strategic guidance and feedback to design and development teams on accessibility best practices
  • Set standards and establish processes for annotating final designs for a seamless handoff to the Product Team, ensuring alignment with accessibility benchmarks
  • Collaborate closely with UX Designers to define accessibility requirements that translate into scalable and actionable solutions
  • Communicate accessibility deliverables, outcomes, and expectations with clients, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
  • Develop and implement accessibility strategies, roadmaps, and high-level backlogs, while ensuring integration across multiple development cycles
  • Supervise and conduct comprehensive audits and assessments for designs, prototypes, and applications, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.2
  • Provide leadership and technical mentorship to developers, ensuring ongoing improvements to accessibility during the entire development lifecycle
  • Monitor and respond proactively to changes in global accessibility standards, leading efforts to implement evolving practices across teams
  • Act as a champion for accessibility across the organization, fostering a culture of inclusivity and knowledge-sharing within distributed teams
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience in accessibility engineering and inclusive design
  • At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
  • Advanced expertise in implementing and advocating for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2) across web and mobile platforms
  • Deep understanding of accessibility testing tools, screen readers, assistive technologies, and methodologies (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and QA workflows)
  • Proven ability to create, manage, and annotate accessible design components and frameworks for handoff to development teams
  • Strong experience in backlog prioritization, roadmap execution, and leading accessibility initiatives within Agile environments
  • Demonstrated success in driving collaboration across cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and senior stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to provide constructive, actionable feedback and translate technical concepts for various audiences
  • Proficiency in using advanced design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, with accessibility assessments forming a core part
  • B2+ level of English or higher, focused on technical presentations, documentation, and stakeholder engagement

  • In-depth knowledge of ARIA practices for complex, interactive components and their implementation
  • Experience leading accessibility enhancements for mobile platforms and designing responsive solutions
  • A portfolio showcasing successful accessibility transformations delivered in partnership with large global teams
