We are currently seeking a dedicated Junior Java Developer (m/f/d) for our client to support the development, testing, and maintenance of complex Java applications in the e-government environment. What skills are required for this junior java developer (m/f/d) – spring / web technologies / e-government?

The essential skills and qualifications for this position include:

At least 3 years of professional experience in Java-based software development projects (customization, further development, troubleshooting, and QA). Very good knowledge of the required backend stack: Java, Spring Boot, Vaadin, Java/Jakarta EE. Solid expertise in frontend technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and accessibility (BITV). Experience with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases. Fluent German, both written and spoken (level C1/C2). Desirable: Project experience in public administration (especially state authorities) or school administration. Desirable: Knowledge or certifications in Agile/Scrum. In addition, we require detailed information on exactly two reference projects from the last five years, which must include the following information: Project title and time period (month/year to month/year), client and industry (state authority, public sector, private sector) including contact person, description of content and your own key responsibilities, project volume and person-days, team size and methodological/technical environment.
