Who We Need
We're looking for a driven and confident Carrier Development Representative who enjoys building relationships and creating new partnership opportunities.
In this role, you'll use outbound calls and email outreach to identify, engage, and pre-qualify truckload carriers, helping expand our client's carrier network. If you're proactive, goal-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct outbound telemarketing and email outreach to identify, engage, and pre-qualify truckload carriers.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified carriers to support the growth of the company's carrier network.
- Introduce prospective carriers to partnership opportunities and guide qualified carriers through the onboarding process.
- Maintain accurate records of carrier interactions, outreach activities, and pipeline progress in the CRM.
- Collaborate with the Operations and Carrier Success teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Update and maintain carrier records in CargoWise using data from My Carrier Portal, ensuring carrier information is accurate, complete, and compliant.
- Perform quality checks to ensure carrier records remain accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Support rate negotiations and booking coordination as business needs evolve and based on performance.
- Continuously build knowledge of carrier operations, freight brokerage, and transportation processes to support business growth.
What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2–4 years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, Carrier Sales, Carrier Procurement, Freight Brokerage, or similar outbound sales roles within the logistics/transportation industry, with experience in truckload (FTL) operations
- Proven experience in cold calling, telemarketing, email outreach, and lead qualification.
- Excellent English communication skills (C1 proficiency), both written and verbal, with a neutral accent and professional phone presence.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and consistently meet outreach and performance targets.
- Experience using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar) to manage pipelines and document customer interactions.
- Familiarity with load boards, carrier databases, or Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is an advantage.
- Customer-focused, highly organized, and results-driven with strong problem-solving skills.
- Willing and able to work the night shift.
